Wayne170As Vice President, Consulting Services of Bluteau DeVenney and Company Inc., Wayne brings a unique blend of senior management experience from both public and private institutions, an understanding of small to medium sized business and larger distributed organizations and a knack for articulating complex issues in a straight forward and clear manner.

Experience:

Wayne’s career spans 25 years of experience combining law enforcement, the practice of law and senior management.  Over this time, he has excelled at building relationships within government, the legal community, the private sector and the RCMP.  With 13 years of senior management experience, he has provided strategic thinking, insight and advice to a variety of stakeholders toward the development of the labour market within this region.  As a change agent, he has led the development of structures and processes to support the growth of one Nova Scotia’s largest post-secondary institutions.  Often called on to deliver services and results in challenging circumstances, Wayne’s success has been attributed to his ability to bring people together, develop partnerships and his ongoing desire to meet the needs of others.   

Wayne has lived or worked in a number of communities across Atlantic Canada and has a strong grounding to the region.  As “community” has been a strong part of his past, Wayne has given back in a variety of roles including coach, mentor, board member and volunteer.  This work has included involvement with group citizen advisory committees, chamber of commerce, youth sport and recreation, charitable organizations, legal professional associations and business development associations. 

Education:

Wayne obtained his Arts Degree from the University of New Brunswick and went on to obtain his law degree from Dalhousie University.  In 1994 he was called to the Bar in Nova Scotia after successfully completed the Nova Scotia Barristers Society Bar Admission Course.   As a lifelong learner, he continued to study in the area of adult education, counseling and advisement, coaching for performance and executive leadership.
