About
My
Four Cents

Jamie O’Neill’s “My Four Cents” articles offer a great change of pace from the typical literature you may find on a management consultant or leadership development web site. Most of the time, self-improvement is about assessing and amending your personal skills; however, every once in a while it is necessary to take a step back from it all and consider broader topics like your personal values and goals. “My Four Cents” forces you to do exactly that.
With her down-to-earth and practical perspectives, Jamie offers a view of the world that everyone can derive some value from. The articles in this section allow you to remove yourself from day to day trails and focus on what you consider to be truly important in your life. So take the time to read a few; we think they will really help… but hey, that’s just our four cents.
The Joneses
Everyone knows who the Joneses are, right? They are the family that has a bigger, prettier house than you; their car is faster and more expensive than yours; they own bigger TV’s; and they are the family that vacations in sunny destinations just because they can. Why do we as a society see the Joneses as a benchmark for success? |

I truly enjoy your articles and I see your dad
had a big part in how you see life in general. He is a true gentleman and to be able to be called a gentleman and manage the many businesses he has is definitely something few
can do.
I too had a grandmother that taught me 4 things that I will never forget.
1.There is no shame in being poor but there is in being dirty.
2.Sometimes it's harder for a rich man to go to heaven than it is for a camel to go through
the eye of a needle.
3.Treat everyone the way you want to be treated.
4.Pray daily.
and these four things have helped me through life by being generous, understanding, and knowing I cannot get through this world alone.
