Have you ever dealt with a contractor? Have you ever shot a contractor? Working with contractors and trades people is one of the greatest tests of patience and sanity as well as one of the greatest learning experiences. They tell you they will be there at 9.00am on Wednesday and then show up on Friday and wonder where you are. They give you timelines and expectations and then do something completely different. They tell you they’ll get right back to you and they never call. You talk and they nod their head like their listening and then do what they want to do. Talk about a bad dating experience! You really learn what not to do in your own work. There are really five simple rules that you need to learn and follow to be successful (and not get shot at work):
